In 2003 we had a vision and created a philosophy, a way of life. Almost 20 years later, everything we are is dedicated to that vision.
On 22nd of September 2006, NINE RED Presents… (CIC) became incorporated as a Community Interest Company. We are a social enterprise, operating in a business environment for a socially useful purpose.
This means that we serve the community for the good of the community, with all profits flowing back into Community Projects.
Our members and directors are all voluntary and consist of Individuals from across the globe. We continue to respond to the needs of our local community and support and enhance the lives of socially disadvantaged groups.

We respond to the needs of our local community creating social change and enhancing the lives of individuals effected by domestic/sexual abuse, mild to moderate mental health conditions and cultural deprivation.

Nine Red Presents was established in 2003 with the aim of revolutionizing art and disrupting the creative industry. The organization is dedicated to promoting artistic endeavours among underprivileged social groups in Bedfordshire through community-based initiatives. Additionally, our team of interdisciplinary artists offers pop-up art services that can transform spaces across the country into captivating and intricate works of art, either permanently or temporarily. Our approach is multidimensional and rejects the notion of conforming to preconceived labels or targeting specific audiences. This philosophy is reflected in our dynamic, collaborative, and responsive methodology, which is integrated into all of our multi-tiered projects.
Art Medicine
Nine Red Presents offers comprehensive packages that cater to the overall well-being of all individuals, especially those who are facing challenges related to domestic violence, sexual abuse, and/or mental health. Our programme, Darkness Makes Sense…In The Light is designed to complement our A.V.S. project. We aim to help victims of abuse find comfort and healing through various art forms. The programme combines creative art therapies, integrative medicine, and healing approaches to provide a holistic approach to recovery. It includes activities such as art, dance, poetry, and drama, along with psychological awareness and communication techniques.
Radiant Roots is NRP’s latest programme that combines Art Therapy with ancient therapeutic techniques, such as light, colour, sound, vibration, crystals, and aromatherapy. Tapping into ancient African, Mesoamerican & Caribbean cultural traditions and history and then combining modern medical techniques, NRP works holistically and highlights the powerful non-verbal tools that help individuals understand their latent thoughts, alongside the power of words and energy to help heal their lives.
The Poetry E.Motion (POEM) programme is managed by a dedicated group of health and wellness experts, including counsellors, healers, educators, and community leaders. They are passionate about promoting the therapeutic benefits of words, digital arts, and movement. The programme offers Poetry Shorts, which are introductory and one-off sessions, as well as a series of 45-60 minute workshops for up to six participants. These workshops aim to help individuals deal with unresolved emotions by exploring self-efficacy and self-esteem through various art forms.
Transforming Spaces
Pop-up art has become increasingly popular in both the art industry and the wider community. It offers a unique way to revitalize spaces and provides artists with a platform to display their work. NINE RED Presents specializes in transforming inactive spaces into engaging experiences for audiences by tailoring the art to meet the preferences of their clients. This approach allows for new and innovative ways to showcase art in a variety of settings, from art installations and exhibitions to shop fronts and office building interiors.
what drives us
NINE RED Presents…(CIC) was born in a place where people of different backgrounds, cultures, religions and nationalities worked together and played together, where fun and fellowship were the focal point.

Debra Knight, the CEO of NINE RED Presents (NRP)…(CIC), started a social enterprise in 2001. Suffering from social phobia, depression and anxiety resulting from domestic and sexual violence, she could not work outside of the house. Using spoken word, dance and digital art to work through the issues she was left with, Debra rapidly gained popularity.
After a while, others approached Debra wishing for her help in using art to cope and heal. Hence the philosophy behind NINE RED Presents…(CIC) was born. Looking back, Debra has stated that Nine Red began with a simple statement; having heard about the abuse, Debra had endured they asked.
“What do you do after something like that happens?”
She smiled, laughed and said,
“Get a job in a casino!”
